It is a pleasure to announce that we just have gained a fantastic new emplyee, Tanja Kravets, whom is born in Ukraine and will be in charge of the development of our Russia department. Tanja is educated in both Ukraine, Norway and Denmark, and speaks all three languages fluently as well as English.
According to the latest published report from the International Congress & Convention Association (ICCA), Copenhagen is the world's 6th most popular destination for international congresses. This is based on figures from 2009, during which the city, among others, hosted the Annual European Congress of Rheumatology, with 13,500 participants and the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP15, with more than 30,000 delegates.
Danish restaurant Noma has taken first place from Spain's El Bulli in the S. Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants 2010 list.
The restaurant in Copenhagen, run by head chef Rene Redzepi and his team, jumped from third to first place in the 2010 list, unveiled tonight at the awards at London's Guildhall.
Another good reason for choosing Copenhagen as your next destination!
When all airlines suddenly are forced to shut down, as we have just experienced here in Northern Europe, everything goes totally crazy. Phones are ringing, mails keep coming in in a stream, and a "all man on deck" situation steps into the daily life.
All of our clients was of course just as shocked as we, and their groups/clients couldn't fly in or out of Copenhagen with a great impact on a lot of planned meetings, incentives and 2 conferences.
Our first concern was to make sure that nobody was left alone in Copenhagen, and then next to stop all suppliers in planning on our presence:-)
Absolutely a majority of our suppliers, did respect this as a force majeure situation, and our fast reaction against them made it easy to negotiate a non fee cancellation for our clients!
We are all hurt from this, but it is of great importance for us at Hadler DMC, that our clients was kept free of any damaging extra payments or fees, so they on their hand could tell their clients about the good news - as a light in the bad situation.
Guess who is getting a lot of thank you emails - yes, we are, and I am sure that our clients will return with even more business on this background.
As one said to us - this is absolutely the best proof of the reason to choose a professional DMC - we are there in times of need!
We did again. The issue of green thinking is really getting into all aspects of our busines.
Not only hotels, transportation and such are cabable of doing green thinking - look at the lionk for the article on green dinners in Copenhagen - taken from New York Times:

”It makes you confident to have a local co-operation partner who is responsible, has control of all details and is quick to respond when needed.”
